Ripple is an exploration of the link between physical reflections and self-reflection. The film weaves together reflections – both literal and emotional – into a meditation on identity, love, and loss.
Set against the ever-moving backdrop of New York City, the film follows Aurora as she grapples with the end of a marriage.
Through reflections, her journey unfolds in fragmented memories and shifting perspectives, exploring the disorienting, yet deeply human, process of re-assembling oneself after loss.
Anchored in an intimate yet universal story, Ripple explores how we see ourselves through others, how love warps and refracts over time, and how, even after heartbreak, clarity can emerge.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Ripple was inspired by the relationship between physical reflection and self-reflection. I wrote it while navigating a breakup and how my relationship to New York City changed in the aftermath.
I was fascinated in exploring how our memories can warp and refract over time, and how one’s environment can take on a new life depending on one’s headspace.
But ultimately, Ripple is about a woman reclaiming and finding herself, even after, and despite, the turmoil.
